Zotero 101: Build Your Research Library and Manage Citations (Student Edition)
About this event
Managing citations and research materials can be one of the most time-consuming parts of academic work. Zotero is a free, open-source tool that helps you stay organized, save time, and focus on your writing and ideas. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to set up Zotero and use it to organize sources more effectively across your assignments, projects, and collaborations.
Through guided demonstrations and hands-on activities, you will:
- Set up and organize your Zotero library with collections, sync, and preferred citation style.
- Collect and annotate scholarly sources directly from databases, Google Scholar, and library tools.
- Cite and create bibliographies seamlessly in Word.
- Collaborate by creating or joining a Zotero group for group projects or shared research.
By the end of this session, you’ll have a fully functioning Zotero library and the skills to make your research and writing process more efficient, accurate, and less stressful.
This workshop is open to all UNF students; those in conducting their capstone projects are highly encouraged!
This workshop will be hosted in the new Student Commons. Please head to the back of the space—we’ll be meeting in the Seminar Room.
