    Data, in its many forms, provides opportunities to explore research questions and understand topics more deeply. This workshop introduces open datasets as a primary data source and focuses on thinking critically about who creates data, where that data exists, and how to decide whether a dataset is a good fit for your research when accessing data portals.

    The Writing Centre hosts drop-in hours in the Student Commons on scheduled days of the week. These are brief, 30-minute consultations for which no booking is required. If you have questions or want some quick feedback on an assignment, come by on one of the following days:

    • Tuesdays, 1:00-3:00pm
    • Thursdays, 1:00-3:00pm

    Drop-in consultations are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
